Here are some of the top highlights that we found:
With over 700 exits and $199 billion of capital exited in 1H, 2014 is on track to be another strong year for PE exits globally.
The strong IPO market in 2013 carried into 2014 with 94 PE-backed companies going public worldwide in the first 6 months of this year.
There is strong exit activity across all industries currently, as PE firms are not showing a clear industry preference on the exit front.
The PE investment-to-exit ratio is at a decade low 2.1x.
Over 13,000 companies are currently owned by private equity firms globally, over 5,000 of which are currently within the PE exit window.
