When it comes to venture capital investment, we know the states that rake in the big bucks—namely California, New York, Massachusetts and Texas. And we even know the cities within those states that land the largest portions of VC funding. But how about getting even more granular? What if we could zoom in even further to see how specific counties within a particular area are faring in terms of venture capital investment? Well, actually, we can. PitchBook has created an interactive map of the U.S. that shows which counties are home to companies that have received venture funding in recent years and exactly how much money has been invested in those counties. For example, did you know that just 28 counties in the U.S. have made up 80% of all VC investment in the country since 2010?
