Appcelerator has been busy with "nodes" today. In addition to its seed investment in Nodefly, the mobile platform company has acquired Nodeable, a San Francisco-based developer of cloud-based real-time data processing. Exiting Nodeable were Crosslink Capital, H. Barton Asset Management, and True Ventures. Nodeable has evolved from billing itself as a cloud-based social network for big data to a company that provides up-to-minute data insights and trends using its SteamReduce platform. The acquisition only adds to Appcelerator's mobile cloud services and products as it seeks to grow its position in the mobile arena.
