Location intelligence company AdNear has raised $19 million from Telstra Ventures and Global Brain, as well as existing investors Sequoia Capital and Canaan Partners. Telstra's Mark Sherman will join the company's Board. AdNear leverages historical location and context to power data-driven marketing for advertisers. It previously raised over $6 million of Series A funding from Sequoia and Canaan in 2012 to support its expansion in the Asia Pacific region and grow the team. The new capital will be used for expansion into multiple new markets.
