Bain Capital exits Physio-Control to Stryker in $1.28B cash deal

Stryker (NYS: SYK) has agreed to acquire 100% of the stock of Physio-Control from Bain Capital Private Equity for $1.28 billion in cash. Bain Capital had previously acquired the company from MedTronic (NYS: MDT) for $487 million in January 2012. Founded in 1955, Physio-Control develops urgent-care products, including cardiac monitors and defibrillators, along with data management and support services. Citi and Jefferies acted as financial advisors on the deal.
