Baja Broadband Installed in Telephone and Data for $267.5M

Baja Broadband, a private equity-backed cable company, has been acquired by Telephone and Data Systems (NYSE: TDS) for $267.5 million in cash. M/C Partners, Columbia Capital and Oak Investment Partners had owned the company since 2006. M/C Partners had invested a total of $27.6 million in the company in the time frame. Baja is a full-service communications company that provides video, broadband and voice services to residential and commercial customers in Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas and Arizona.
