Beddit, a sleep monitoring company, looks to have raised about $5 million (€3.86 million) in venture funding from Inventure, bringing its total funding raised to $8 million (€6.18 million). Founded in 2006, the company develops products and applications for sleep and wellness monitoring that track sleep, heart rate and breathing. The device, simply a thin film sensor placed under a bed sheet, connects wirelessly to a smartphone application to track the data. Beddit's initial round of financing was raised from Finnvera Venture Capital. A crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo brought the company over $500,000 (€386,000) last year.
