Car buying and selling site Beepi has added $12.7 million from a large syndicate of angel investors to its previously raised $60 million Series B round. When selling in the platform marketplace, car owners initially fill out information such as make, model and color, upon which Beepi will schedule a professional inspection. When the inspection is successfully completed, the vehicle will be listed for sale. If no buyer is found within 30 days, Beepi will purchase the car and continue the search for a buyer, taking on the risk. The fresh fundraise valued the company at $182 million, a 12.5x jump from the $14.5 million valuation received after a $5 million Series A round in April 2014.
