Brazos Private Equity Partners has reportedly decided to not raise a new fund. Instead, the firm will continue to manage its existing portfolio before shuttering its business. To honor Brazos' accomplishments, we dove into the PitchBook Platform to take a look at some of its investments and fundraising stats over the years.
Since its founding in 1999, Dallas-based Brazos has raised three funds; the latest closed on $715 million in 2008 and has garnered an IRR of 11.00% as of the end of 2013. Fund III's recent investments include Arizona-based Eberle Design and South Carolina-based Southern Tide.
One of Brazos' biggest exits yet may still be in the works. Brazos still owns Ennis-Flint, which according to reports a few months ago, the firm was in advanced talks to sell to Olympus Partners for around $700 million. Brazos formed Ennis-Flint in 2012 by merging two of its portfolio companies, with the combined entity obtaining a $575 million valuation.
