Candy Crush Maker King Digital Prices IPO at $22.50

King Digital Entertainment, maker of Candy Crush Saga and other games, priced its IPO at $22.50 per share, the midpoint of its proposed $21 to $24 range, and went public. The company raised a little under $350 million, selling about 15.3 million shares on the NYSE under the symbol KING, with shareholders selling an additional 6.67 million shares. The offering gave King a valuation of $7.1 billion. Apax Partners held a 48.2% pre-IPO stake while Index Ventures held an 8.3% stake; both firms participated in King's 2005 Series A.
