Care.com, a VC-backed online marketplace, expects to price its upcoming IPO for between $14 and $16 per share. The company would boast a total market value of almost $476 million if it priced at the high end of the range. It plans to list on the NYSE under the symbol CRCM.
Launched in 2007, Care.com is an online service that helps families hire babysitters, nannies, petsitters and senior care givers. More than 9.5 million members have registered with the site. Its VC history goes back to a $6 million Series A round in 2006 led by Matrix Partners (22.16% pre-IPO stake). New Enterprise Associates (13.31%) led a subsequent $20 million round in 2010 that valued the company at about $92 million. Other shareholders include Trinity Ventures (14.34%), Institutional Venture Partners (10.17%) and USAA (9.26%).
