Carlyle to Acquire Novetta in Potential $650M Deal
August 31, 2015
The Carlyle Group has agreed to acquire Novetta from Arlington Capital Partners in a transaction that could reportedly value the company at more than $650 million, including debt. Formed in a 2012 merger, Novetta is a provider of advanced analytics solutions designed to help clients better understand massive disparate data sets that were never intended to be analyzed together. Equity for the transaction will come from Carlyle Partners VI, a $13 billion vehicle that closed in 2013. Jefferies and Société Générale have committed to provide debt financing for the transaction, which is expected to close by year end.
