Casper, a mattress startup, has raised $13.1 million in a Series A round of financing led by New Enterprise Associates, with participation from a large contingent of investors including SV Angel, Lerer Hippeau Ventures and Norwest Venture Partners, to name a few. Casper's $1.6 million seed funding in January handed it a valuation of $7.2 million. The company's mattresses are made from high-density memory and latex foam, and are designed to provide healthy bounce, cool sleep and proper anatomic support.
