Glympse has received $12 million in a Series C financing. The round saw participation from new investors UMC Capital and Verizon Ventures, along with existing investors Ignition Partners, Menlo Ventures and Naya Ventures. The company has now raised over $21 million in equity; it completed its Series B round in 2011, bringing in $7.5 million with a valuation of about $20 million. The Glympse app allows users to share their location with family members, friends or others of their choosing, as well as request the location of someone they are waiting for.
