Charterhouse Reportedly Buying Mirion from American Capital

Charterhouse Capital Partners has reportedly agreed to buy radiation detection and protection company Mirion Technologies from American Capital for about $500 million. Formed in a 2006 merger, Mirion has sales of close to $300 million, according to Bloomberg. The company offers products and services to nuclear power plants, military and civil defense agencies, hospitals and universities, along with customers in other specialized industries. It has 13 operating facilities across North America, Europe and Asia.
