In a deal expected to close in the coming weeks, Clessidra has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Italian fashion brand Roberto Cavalli. Reports indicated the company could be worth €390 million. Founded in the early 1970s, Roberto Cavalli features a range of licensed men's and women's products including bags, sunglasses, watches, shoes, jewelry and a fragrance line. In 2014, the company increased its consolidated sales to approximately €210 million. The deal is the first carried out through Clessidra Capital Partners Fund III, a vehicle said to be nearing a €500 million first close.
