Private equity investors have exited 68 U.S.- and Canada-headquartered companies in the Restaurants and Bars industry since the beginning of 2003, according to the PitchBook Platform. The majority of those exits have been sales to other PE firms, with secondary buyouts accounting for 52% of all of the exit activity. Corporate acquisitions and IPOs accounted for 27% and 21%, respectively. So far this year, investors have cashed out of two companies in the industry.
