Cognitive Networks Tunes In to $2.5M, Hires New CEO

Cognitive Networks, formerly known as TV Interactive Systems, has raised $2.5 million of a planned $3 million of funding from Rogers Venture Partners. The company, which provides content recognition services to internet TV applications, has also brought Michael Collette on board as CEO. Mr. Collette is a longtime veteran of the interactive TV business, having served as CEO of uCentric Systems and PhyFlex Networks. Prior to that, he was the SVP of Marketing for OpenTV.
