CommScope, a communications company owned by The Carlyle Group, has filed to raise up to $750 million in an IPO. The company hasn't chosen a stock exchange yet but plans to trade under the symbol COMM. CommScope provides connectivity and infrastructure solutions for wireless, business enterprise and residential broadband networks. Clients include Verizon, AT&T and Comcast. Carlyle bought a 98.4% stake in the company in January 2011.
