Compass-EOS Raises $42M for Super-Efficient Routers

Network routing company Compass-EOS has closed on a $42 million round of financing from existing investors Comcast Ventures, Cisco, Pitango Venture Capital, Benchmark Capital, Northbridge Venture Partners and Marker, with participation from new investor RUSNANO. The company offers an optical chip-to-chip interconnect that enables higher-speed routers with a smaller footprint and lower power requirements. According to a press release, Compass-EOS will use the funding to continue investing in customer support, sales and marketing, as well as to re-align its workforce.
