Compass offers a real-estate platform focused on broker listings. Wellington Management Capital has led the company's new financing, which values Compass at more than $1 billion, according to TechCrunch. Existing investors IVP, Thrive Capital, Founders Fund and .406 Ventures also participated in the round. Compass initially launched in 2013 in New York, but has since expanded to Boston; Washington, DC; Miami; The Hamptons and Los Angeles. The company also plans to open in San Francisco this fall.
