CrowdSource, a provider of managed crowdsourcing solutions, has agreed to acquire one of its competitors, Servio. The acquisition will strengthen CrowdSource’s client portfolio, expand its workforce and augment its current service offerings. CrowdSource, which is backed by Highland Capital Partners, will retain the Servio team and maintain an office in San Francisco. Servio has raised nearly $12 million in total funding since its founding in 2009, from investors including Akkadian Ventures and Draper Fisher Jurvetson. The deal is expected to close before the end of November.
