Smarter Remarketer, a provider of customer intelligence for multi-channel retailers, has closed $7 million in funding led by Battery Ventures. The company provides a SaaS email marketing automation and analysis suite that allows multi-channel retailers to bolster customer lifetime value by creating relevant and effective customer experiences. Smarter Remarketer also recently introduced its SR2 Big Data platform, which allows retailers to engage individual website visitors in real-time based on up to several years’ worth of customer data, from behavioral to transactional. Smarter Remarketer customers include major retail brands like SkyMall, Finish Line and Hugo Boss, among many others.
Proceeds from the round will be used to accelerate the company's growth through 2014 and expand its platform. As part of the investment, Battery Ventures' Neeraj Agrawal is joining Smarter Remarketer's Board of Directors.
