Deliv, the provider of a crowdsourced retail-delivery platform, has raised $1 million in seed funding. Participating investors included General Catalyst, Redpoint Ventures, Trinity Ventures, Operators Fund and PivotNorth. The Palo Alto-based startup will use the cash to develop its services with retailers. Deliv delivers online orders from retailer websites directly to consumers, providing same-day delivery through its fleet of crowdsourced drivers. The company has been testing its model in the San Francisco area, but is reportedly looking to build delivery fleets in 14 geographical markets across the U.S.
