Mobile event app platform DoubleDutch has closed a $19 million Series D funding round led by Mithril Capital Management. Previous investors Bessemer Venture Partners, Index Ventures and Bullpen Capital also participated, along with Singapore-based Enspire Capital. Ajay Royan, co-founder and managing general partner of Mithril, has joined the DoubleDutch Board. The company, which has raised about $37 million in funding since its founding in 2011, will use the new capital to expand its global presence, build out its technical teams to rapidly scale product deployment and deliver new features to organizers. DoubleDutch last raised $10 million in Series C funding in 2013 at a valuation of $49 million—about double the $24 million valuation it received with a 2012 $4.2 million Series B.
