Doximity Inks $17M for Physician Communication Innovation

Doximity, a professional network for physicians that's disrupting the healthcare industry by improving communication regarding patient care, has inked a healthy $17 million in Series B venture funding. IT, Health IT and Life Sciences-focused investor Morgenthaler Ventures led the charge on the round, which also included participation from existing investors Emergence Capital Partners and InterWest Partners. The company previously raised a $10.8 million Series A round from Emergence and InterWest in March 2011.
