EQT Partners has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Nordic Aviation Capital in a deal that would value the company on a cash and debt-free basis at $3.3 billion. Founded in 1990, NAC is a lessor of turboprop aircraft for the global airline industry, serving over 40 airlines in 30 countries. Its fleet currently consists of almost 250 aircraft with an average value weighted age of only 5.4 years. EQT will be investing out of its €4.8 billion EQT VI fund, which closed in 2011.
