Peter Orszag, a former official in the Obama and Clinton administrations, will join Lazard in May as a managing director and vice chairman of Investment Banking. He comes from a similar role at Citigroup, which he joined in 2011. Orszag previously served as a special assistant in the Clinton White House, and later under President Obama as director of the U.S. Office of Management and Budget and director of the Congressional Budget Office. Orszag will advise Lazard clients on mergers and acquisitions and other financial and strategic matters.
