Fantasy Sports Giant FanDuel Collects $275M, $1B+ Valuation

Fantasy sports platform FanDuel has raised $275 million at a reported valuation of over $1 billion. Founded in 2009, the company provides daily fantasy sports for the four largest U.S. professional sports leagues (NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL), as well as college football and basketball. Bringing FanDuel's funding total to $363 million, the fresh round was oversubscribed and led by PE firm KKR; previous investors including Comcast Ventures, Bullpen Capital and NBC Sports Ventures also participated. FanDuel's previous round in September raised $70 million at a rumored valuation of under $400 million.
