Food Products Space Looking Tasty for VC Investors

According to the PitchBook Platform, VC investors have completed 122 U.S.-based deals in the food products industry since the beginning of 2005. The West Coast and the Northeast have been the hungriest regions for those deals, accounting for about 44% and nearly 24% of the total deal count in that timeframe, respectively. Additionally, investment in the space has been on the rise in recent years. Last year marked a high point in both deal count and capital invested in the industry, and there is still plenty of room to grow.
