Genome Engineering Company enEvolv Scores $1.7M Series A

enEvolv, a genome engineering company creating sustainable genome-based solutions, has raised $1.7 million in a Series A financing round led by Cultivian Sandbox Venture Partners. The company engineers and licenses microorganisms to produce chemicals, enzymes and small molecules for the pharmaceuticals, personal care, specialty chemicals, food and energy industries. It will use the new capital to expand its research and development and business development activities. As part of the investment, Cultivian Sandbox's Ron Meeusen has joined enEvolv's Board of Directors.
