Goldman Sachs, THL consortium to acquire GCA from Blackstone

A consortium of the Merchant Banking Division of Goldman Sachs and Thomas H. Lee Partners has entered an agreement to acquire GCA Services Group from Blackstone. The transaction, expected to close in 1Q 2016, is reportedly worth roughly $1 billion. Founded in 2003, GCA provides janitorial/custodial services, facilities operations and maintenance, grounds management and other outsourced workforce solutions to the education, commercial and rental car markets. Blackstone acquired GCA in 2012 through Blackstone Capital Partners V.
