Granite Lands Chair-Man Mills

Granite Partners, a Canadian-based private equity firm, has acquired Chair-man Mills, a rental company to the special events industry. Based in Toronto and founded in 1911, Chair-man Mills provides tabletop rentals, stages and dance floors for special events held at major venues and in Canadian private homes. Granite will look to build the company organically and through acquisitions in what it believes is a fragmented event rental industry. Also based in Toronto, Granite Partners targets industrial and service companies with sales in the $10 million to $100 million range.
