Greenspring Associates has led an $82 million Series D round for SolidFire, a maker of storage systems for cloud providers. The raise, which will be used for global expansion and product development, brings the company's total funding to about $150 million. It was also the first raise by SolidFire since July 2013, when its $31 million Series C was raised at a valuation of over $380 million. The company's all-flash datacenter storage system allows businesses to achieve linear scale of both capacity and performance without downtime or performance impact. Also participating on the financing were New Enterprise Associates, Novak Biddle, Samsung Ventures and Valhalla Partners.
