Guitar Hero Co-Founder Raises $6M for New Video Game Venture

Green Throttle Games, the latest endeavor from Guitar Hero co-creator Charles Huang, has raised $6 million in a Series A round led by Trinity Ventures, with participation from DCM. Currently based in Santa Clara, Calif., Green Throttle is enhancing mobile gaming by developing a controller that wirelessly connects with an Android smartphone or tablet, subsequently transmitting images via cable from the device to a television. Essentially, Green Throttle’s product turns mobile devices into a more traditional video gaming console.
