Integral Ad Science, a provider of actionable advertising intelligence for buyers and sellers of digital media, has raised $30 million in Series D funding led by August Capital, with participation from previous investors Atlas Venture and Pelion Venture Partners. The new round brings Integral's total to-date funding to about $50 million, including a $10 million Series C round that valued the company at $43.5 million in 2012.
The company offers TRAQ Score, an overall quality rating that leverages data science and algorithms to combine placement-level metrics into a single universal metric. This metric includes brand safety, page content and structure, ad viewability, share of view, ad clutter and suspicious activity in order to determine the value of each ad placement based on the page environment and ad exposure attributes. As part of the transaction, August's Eric Carlborg will join Integral's Board.
