Originally spun out of a chemical engineering lab at Stanford University, C3Nano has raised $12 million in Series C funding. The company has developed transparent, conductive, nanomaterial-based coatings that can be used in the flexible display, touch panel, OLED and solar industries. To date, C3Nano has raised about $22 million in VC. Its previous funding, a $6.7 million Series B, was raised at a valuation of over $17 million. Proceeds from the new round will be used to expand its manufacturing capacity for its recently launched product, Active-grid, and also support R&D on complementary materials and new products.
