Big data firm Fortscale has raised $10 million in funding led by Intel Capital and Blumberg Capital, with additional participation from existing investors including Swarth Group. The new funding comes after proven private beta testing in the U.S. and Israel, and will be used to extend the company’s research and development, engineering and analytics groups, as well as promote partnerships. The funding will also be used to establish the company’s new headquarters in Silicon Valley and rapidly expand its Israel-based R&D and analytics teams.
Founded in 2012, Fortscale turns enterprise Big Data into user intelligence, making users' profiles and behavior visible and easy to investigate; the solution offers enterprises a proactive, intelligence-driven approach to cyber security. Fortscale previously raised $2 million of funding from Swarth Group in February 2013.
