Kohlberg Kravis Roberts has closed its KKR Special Situations Fund at $2 billion, double its $1 billion target. The fund is part of KKR's Special Situations platform, which was launched as part of the firm's $20.9 billion credit business in 2010. The new vehicle will focus primarily on distressed and event-driven investments stemming from market dislocations, complex situations and distressed assets.
