Kosmos Energy raised $594 million in its IPO by selling 33 million common shares for $18 apiece, the high end of its expected price range. Citi, Barclays Capital and Credit Suisse served as joint book-running managers. Warburg Pincus and The Blackstone Group are both existing investors in Kosmos but did not sell shares in the offering. Kosmos is an oil exploration and production company focused on Africa. The company closed its first day trading on the NYSE under the symbol KOS up at $18.24.
