Locality (formerly Centzy), a local search platform, has closed a $4.3 million Series A financing led by Matrix Partners. Covering 60 different services available in more than 10,000 cities, the company’s data collection system helps consumers find the information they seek to connect with merchants that best meet their needs. Locality will use the capital to build out its platform in an effort to cover every service at every local business nationwide and develop new ways for consumers to easily connect to local merchants.
The company garnered a $4.9 million valuation with an $800,000 seed investment in 2011 and has now raised about $7 million in funding to date. As part of the recent transaction, Matrix Partners' Jared Fliesler has joined Locality’s Board of Directors.
