Sweden-based MAG Interactive, a game app developer, has secured $6 million in funding from Nokia Growth Partners and a private investor. Daniel Hasselberg, CEO of MAG, announced the investment on stage at Slush 2013, a startup conference in Helsinki. The deal follows the success of the company’s first title, Ruzzle, which debuted in March 2012 and has driven consistently increasing profits for MAG since its launch.
After several years of refining its services as a third party developer, MAG started developing its own apps in 2011. The company's hit word game, Ruzzle, is a fast-paced puzzle that challenges players to compete to find as many words as possible from a given set of letters on a four-by-four grid.
