Sweden-based Narrative (formerly Memoto), a wearable clip-on camera and app, has raised $3 million in funding led by True Ventures, with participation from LDV Capital and Passion Capital. The new financing will reportedly help the company with global expansion.
The Narrative Clip is a “lifelogging” camera that clips onto clothing and automatically takes two pictures per minute. The camera is designed to be coupled with the company’s subscription-based Narrative app, which stores and organizes photos to work as a “photographic memory” for users.
Last year, Narrative raised over $550,000 from a Kickstarter campaign, catapulting past its $50,000 goal. The company expects to roll out its first batch of cameras in November, shipping to Kickstarter backers and pre-order customers.
