Aerospike, a provider of a flash-optimized in-memory NoSQL database, raised $20 million in Series C financing. New Enterprise Associates led the round, which also saw participation from Columbus Nova Technology Partners and Alsop Louie Partners, among others. The company has now raised over $30 million in venture funding, its immediately previous raise an $8 million Series B at a valuation of over $17.2 million. Aerospike will use the new investment to expand its developer community and engineering and support teams, as well as its global sales and marketing. In-memory databases speed up cross-channel Web and mobile apps that rely on up-to-the-moment user context to deliver a consistent user experience.
