Over 80% of Late Stage Venture Capital in $25M+ Rounds

Our 3Q 2015 U.S. Venture Industry Report shows activity by count in the U.S. has slowed, but the industry is still seeing huge numbers. With capital invested at $36.9 billion through 1H, 2015 is on pace to challenge the current post-crisis record of $65.2 billion set last year. The numbers seen at the late stage in particular are so vast they are spurring talk of a "private IPO" market, where startups delay exits in favor of raising private capital, at least for now.
