PRM Platform Avado Acquired by WebMD for up to $30M

Avado, a developer of cloud-based patient relationship management tools and technologies, has been acquired by health information provider WebMD (NASDAQ: WBMD) for a reported $20-$30 million. The company’s technology will complement and further accelerate WebMD’s efforts to connect patients with their healthcare providers. Avado’s founders will continue with the company and, along with its engineering talent, will remain based in Redmond, WA, working closely with WebMD’s New York-headquartered connectivity product team. Company backers include The Partnership Fund for New York City and several health tech entrepreneurs and investors.
