SmartZip, which provides a real estate predictive marketing platform, has raised $12 million in Series B financing. The round was led by Crest Capital Ventures, with Claremont Creek Ventures and Intel Capital also participating. SmartZip will use the funding to accelerate product development and aggressively expand sales and marketing. This is the first equity raise for the company since late 2010, when it received $5.5 million in Series A funding at a valuation of over $12 million. Its SmartTargeting platform includes branded mailers, online ads, lead capture sites, a lead management dashboard and a wide range of tools and support.
