RiskIQ has raised $25 million in a Series B financing led by Battery Ventures and joined by Summit Partners. The company provides software that detects online threats to a brand's customers, preventing attackers from exploiting websites, mobile apps and advertising networks to distribute malware and commit fraud. The funding will be used to enhance R&D, expand outside the U.S. and invest in sales and marketing. RiskIQ raised almost $10 million in Series A financing at a valuation of over $45 million in 2013. Along with the new investment, Michael Brown of Battery Ventures has joined the company's Board of Directors.
