Roark Capital Group has completed its buyout of CKE Restaurants from Apollo Global Management. The deal represents Roark's 29th multi-unit company and its 17th restaurant brand. CKE owns, operates and franchises Carl's Jr. and Hardee's quick-service restaurants in 42 states and 30 foreign countries and U.S. territories. Apollo had owned the company since 2010, when the firm acquired it for about $1 billion. The sale to Roark reportedly valued the company at north of $1.7 billion.
