GTCR has signed and closed the acquisition of Cable Management Associates, an Etan Industries subsidiary. The purchase was made through GTCR's partnership with Rural Broadband Investments, a vehicle the firm helped form in 2012 to acquire broadband infrastructure assets in small and mid-sized communities. CMA passes approximately 120,000 homes in rural Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Nevada. The acquisition comes on the heels of RBI's initial platform investment in NewWave Communications; the platform now serves over 120,000 customers and passes about 370,000 homes across eight states. SunTrust Robinson Humphrey and Goldman Sachs arranged debt financing in connection with the transaction.
